Camp Geronimo

Scout Camp at Geronimo

For the June Activity we went to Camp Geronimo. We had almost the entire Quarum with us and it was exciting for everyone. I think we got all the boys back. Here are some pictures of what camp life was like.

This is morning time 6am

Some well organized scout tents. Their moms should be proud

Super Activity

We had such a great time at our Super Activity. The hike was absolutely beautiful. Everything was so green.
The fishing was great. We couldn't keep the fish off our lines. As leaders, we spent plenty of quality time watching the boys do all the work.

And the boys made one AWESOME zip line. It might have been more line than zip, though. The boys had to cross without getting wet. As leaders, we were hoping for some wet boys, but, alas, they stayed dry. Here are some great pics of the boys crossing the river on their zip line.

We even had a quasi-accident. Here is a great picture of the boys helping another boy with an injury get himself up onto the zip line. Great looking team work here. Here is our wounded, broken knee, boy going across. He looks like he is really in pain. That acting deserves an Oscar.

The wildlife was wild. Brother Green even saw a bear. Mythbusters!

Oops! I guess he had his camera with him.

We had lots of fun! Playing in the river. Baseball at 9,000 feet. One insane game of Capture the Flag.

We would like to especially thank Brother Stapley for coming along with us as the adult supervision. Brother green for picking the absolute best location possible.
Brother Brown for one spiritually uplifting fireside in the rain. Ask you boys about the great lesson on "Righteous Leadership."

In April we went to Four-Peaks and almost died at least 3 times. When we got there it was beautiful and warm. Perfect for a hike. We had all our gear on our backs and ready for anything we would face.......... We thought.

Right about here we thought this is not so bad. A little steap, but we can handle it

We made it to the Top and were elated that we did it. Then we were told this is not the top...

This is the top.

And to get there we have to climb this vertical crack.

It was a little steep

But we made it!!!

Then we had to hike down off the mountian to get away from the lightning. We set up tents and shelters, and made what food we could in the 40 mph winds. Soon after we got in bed it started raining, then hailing, then snowing.

This is camp the next morning

This is where Brother Green Slept

Finding dry firewood the next day wasn't easy, but we are scout and therefore we can make anything burn!!!

We packed up camp and headed home. And Brother Green Made Mitchel Puke. It was Awesome.
